I think it can all depend on the bird?

Fargo was molting when i first got him, and now hes started another one the past month, and i havnt noticed any different behaviour in him, the only difference is, sometimes when im massaging his neck i might touch a sensitive pin feather so he does a little yelp, but isnt aggressive.. He is just as cuddly and affectionate! He gets lots of showers so he might feel more comfortable ?

He gets a little moody moment maybe once or twice a month, but thats even when he isnt molting :p

Parrots
Blue Crown Conures: Tootsie and Rosco.
Senegal Parrot: Sidney.

Feathers of the past:
Budgies: Sunshine, Digit, Kiwi, and Yahto.
Senegal Parrot: Kelly.
"Fly free, little ones. Love and miss you."
Tootsie was really sensitive about pin feathers that had not dried up. If I happened to hit one when scratching her she would react like she was going to tear my finger off though she never clamped down on the offending finger. When the feathers dry up and are ready to break open, she really appreciates the service of doing it for the ones that she can't reach. But she never became moody. Now she has Rosco to do that service so I figure another bird is better at doing it than I am.

My Senegal Sidney is going through a light molt right now and, if anything, he has gotten more mellow and snugly.

:rainbow1:Oh yes. Cranky, pin feathers. the little fuzzy, downy feathers Bob sometimes gets in his beak. I'd get irritated and cranky too. Hormones are a huge factor as well. Poor little guys. Give them a break. It's not the easiest time for any species.:54:

:32:Bob bit me yesterday and today. My friend Lola has two Congo African Grays. Matty bit her 3 times yesterday. Alfred, Buddy's parakeet gets cranky when Buddy gets near his cage and Jan, another parakeet friend, says her baby is sleeping more and squawks when she nears his cage. Molting and hormones our babes are all experiencing in common. Spring has sprung as well.
