Hi everyone. Very informative site here. Anyway, just got a couple conures a couple weeks ago from a breeder and he told me that his conure pairs only produce pineapple female. I'm confused because he said his pair is a male normal split pineapple and female is a pineapple. I've been reading on the genetics and looking at the table and it just got me more confused. Just want to know if what he said was accurate or do i need to have my pineapple conure dna sexed to find out if it's a male/female. Thanks.

Been doing more reading about the punnet square and this site MUTATION GREENCHEEKED CONURES. What i'm finding is the above pair can have a male pineapple. Please correct me if i'm totally misunderstanding it. Thank you in advance.

Actually, that website says that in order to get a male pineapple, the father needs to be double-split so I guess his male is not double but single and that's why there are no male pineapple offspring.
