So I have a breeding pair of GCC's and up until today I thought they were both male until I found two eggs in a nest box. I have two boxes in their aviary, a large and a smaller but deeper one. The male sits in the smaller box all the time, and sometimes the female during the night. Should I remove the smaller one or leave it in to avoid confusing the birds? I'm still new to conures so this'll be a great help, thank you.

It would probably be wise to remove one right now and leave the one with eggs in it so they would concentrate their time on the eggs instead of going nest box hunting.....

Mikey's probably right, but when I read your post, I thought of the quiet I could have enjoyed leading up to my daughter's birth.....we had MIL & an aunt come visit to help wifey.....so I was detailed milk shake getting duty...usually 3-4 a day or French Fry getting duty...at least twice a day.....then there were the chauffeur duties to take the ladies shopping.....for whatever last minute item had to be gotten for forthcoming daughter/granddaughter/great niece.....luckily we did have a 2 bedroom apartment, but if I wanted to be out from under foot & I decided to lay down in the bedroom, I was run out of there in case wifey might want to lay down.....so I was often found sitting on the front steps when I wasn't on duty at the base.....yep, I could appreciate the peace & solitude dad GCC might be enjoying.....

Good luck with the new clutch.....

Ok, so you've confirmed you have at least one hen.... are you sure you don't have two hens?
