As most of you know I am trying to get another Conure in about two months. I am going to be buying this cage.

That way if things don't go well I got the divider at least to keep them apart.

I got this cage now.

I really hope that the new bird gets along with my bird now. Because I thought of a cool Idea to make an even bigger cage. Both cages have side doors. I want to get a plastic pipe to connect the two cages together. This would make a really nice Big long cage for them, plus a little tunnel to play in. This of course all hinges on them liking one another. :p

What is a good thing to use to do this? What plastic pipe is safe to use? I am thinking of a flexible one with the ridges in it.

I am not sure of your birds gender but the pipe may eventually stimulate nesting material in a hen.

I meant nesting instincts! Oops! It does sound like a fun idea though. It would prob have to be pretty wide pipe. The ridge kind sounds good and not slippery.

I already have a single and double flight cage... was thinking of just attaching the two to make an "L" shaped cage since I don't have a way to make the cage even longer! Only thing is, is that it would make it even more difficult to clean! LOL

What about the plastic pipe for hamsters, gerbils, and ferrets????

That would be a good Idea! Wonder if they are big enough? I wonder if buying pipes like that would be fun for the birds to crawl around in? It would be a fun thing to do, let the birds come out of their cage a little more without actually coming out of the cage. I guess you could use something like this.

If you would just remove those side doors completely with a plier, get the bird cages off their stands and find a table long enough to hold both cages then you can just zip tie the two cages together. :)
