Hi guys my baby Turk keeps putting his feet on my other birds and just sits there like that or some times preens them while his foot is there . Does anyone know what this means or is it just a trait. Many thanks
I had parrotlet pairs that would "hold hands" with their feet. I think it was just to another way for them to feel close to one another and to bond.
My caiques are always putting their feet on their buddies. But in a not so benevolent manner. They are quite feisty and will push, shove, grasp, pull, preen and do all sorts of things with their feet on another bird.
It seems like a pretty normal thing to me. The caiques do it way more often then the parrotlets did.
I tried putting Mango my YSA Amazon with my cousins Quaker which at this point seems to be mine. Mango lunges for him. Anyway to get them to get along?
