Where I live I can only have pets w/ fins, feather, or scales so I've been looking into getting a bird. After months of research I brought home a 2 month old green cheek about 3 weeks ago & he is the perfect bird for me and my kids.
Chico (as my kids named him) had almost no adjustment period & bonded w/ all of us. He has come w/ me to work multiple times and does not mind new people or my boss's puppy and would rather be out on my shoulder all day.
My kids are very hyper animal lovers aged 7, 7, & 8 who love to hug Chico. He loves the attention & gives us all kisses. He is even talking already. He says his name, pretty bird, kissing noises, & good. Best of all he is much quieter than my kids. From all the posts on here this is not the norm but I couldn't be happier.
