Looking for a name for Pirates new home...
Its still a work in progress, but it is coming along nicely!
The original cage I had was given to me by a friend, its 10+yrs old and I have no idea which brand...
I was really lucky and found an identical/brand cage on CL over the weekend for only $50! The color is different but hey....
So I made a little play gym to go in between the cages.
It turned out really nice, if I do say so myself...
In the playpen there are lotsa toys and activity centers, a spiral-branched tree-top feeder/lookout, and another climbing feeder, and a few places to hang the toys, it has a lexan fron/back walls to keep the foot-toys in also.
I used 5 different sized dowels and ropes and blocks, some are screwed/glued in place and some were left swingy/shaky/unstable to fine-tune his balance and to give many diiferent size and shapes to climb on to excercise those feet.
And putting the food and water at the top means Pirate gotta do a bit of work to get it, then climb back down to play.(i plan on treat-only in the feeders so he wont be "fed" up there to keep down on poop-mess.
So I cant decide whether its gonna be Jenday Palace or Conure Castle, but its got 2 open-top "turrets" on the ends and the "keep" down in the middle with the lookout/bell tower to overlook everything.
What do ya guys think?
He better like it, my fingers are raw from wrapping that sisal around the spiral tree....
