Aggression getting worse

I don't know what is going on with my green cheek. He keeps on attacking me. He will be sitting with me and next thing I know he attacks my neck and makes me bleed. Or he can be across the room and just fly to me and start biting my neck and making me bleed. I'm getting so frustrated and I don't know what to do anymore. I need help

Start by clipping this bird's wings. If he's doing that.

Then go back to basics with step up and no bite training. Start over and reinforce it.

Is this bird becoming territorial about something?

I'm afraid to clip his wings because I have dogs and ferrets. I have done step up with him. But how do I teach him no bite..... This might sound crazy but I think he is territorial of my hair. Anytime I touch it he freaks out, or when I'm putting it up. He will get on top of my head when I do my hair. The hair thing started about a mouth ago, and the attacking started a week ago. But he will even attack when I'm not doing anything or just laying down.

Parrots and ferrets don't mix... bad combination.

I don't know how to instruct you on this, other than go back to basics, and work with the bird in another room where he is safe.

if that were my bird, I would keep him in the cage and start with basic training like birdman suggested.

by letting him out, you are encouraging him to attack you at will(unintentionally of course)

birds can be extremely frustrating, but be patient, and try not to let it get to you, keep your chin up, and familiarize yourself on youtube with training techniques. target training is a good place to start.

Thanks crimson. I just love my little bird. Do you think this could also be hormones. And I'm not sure if he really is a boy. Do you think it will be helpful if I found out the sex?

Doesn't sound hormonal to me.

Sounds like either a territorial issue, or a fear issue. Or some combination of both.

It seems a bit unusual to hear a green cheek doing that. But some of the other conures (Nandays and Duskys come immediately to mind, cherry heads, mitered) will dive bomb, and chase people off...

I suppose any conure can be feisty if they become territorial about something.
