Years ago, I had a foster Patty named Cleo... (cuz of the eyes of course. Cleopatra eyes.)
Her personality was similar to that of a shy macaw. Very playful. Big old feet! (They are semi-nocturnal and cliff dwellers. They nest in little caves that they dig out.) Cleo was a night person. When everyone else was settling in for the night, she'd be ramping up... playing in her box.
Mine LOVED cardboard boxes with shredded paper, toys & treats in them...
She'd play in the stupid box, entertaining herself for hours on end... VERY EASY, LOW MAINTENANCE BIRD! (Though they can sometimes be pluckers.)
Once again, came in as a biter, but she just had never really been handled much and was shy to begin with. I was sorry to see that one go, but I already had nine other birds at the time... so I allowed the re-home.
