I have my sun conure rocky and he's about 6 months old and when I got him he had clipped wings.
I really want the pore Bugga to be able to fly he's a bird for god sake.
Does anyone now how long it will take for his wings to come back?

It depends on when he molts next. My conure's wings didn't grow back for almost a year because they clipped her right after she moulted. Parrots usually molt once or twice a year so it could be 2-3 months or it could be 6+ months.

It usually takes mine about a year for all clipped feathers to come back in. Some come back in faster depending when the next molt is and if they molt more of their wing feathers at one time.

In the mean time, while he's clipped, do some training! Target training and step-up, and some other tricks if he's already good at both of those. :p having a clipped bird at first is easier to establish a bond and trust between bird and owner.

I clipped both my gcc and sennie almost exactly 5 months ago. The sennie has started to molt and now has 2 primary flight feathers coming in on each wing and the gcc has none.

I agree with Riddick, it takes about a year. Rio had hers clipped before I got her, and she needed to be clipped around a yrs old. Now the funny thing is I got her clipped again after she flew under my RV. And within a week, she already had one feather growing back on each side. I really want to train her to wear a harness but she hates them as much as she hates the cordless phone which she despises.
