Depends on what we are talking about. The bigger conures will need bigger cages then say two green cheeks. I just moved my two green cheeks into the same cage. The cage is 36X24X22. They aren't very active guys so they didn't need the height. My sun is caged alone in a 30X24X26.

The two green cheeks cage. They were living in cages this size separately for years but recently I moved them together into just this one.

My suns cage. He uses the whole space so I'm not sure I'd add another into a cage this size.

It's tough to get a straight answer for this question because, as Riddick showed, every bird is different. An active one may need more than a lazy one.

If you're buying a cage, just be weary of advertisers who claim that "this cage is perfect for parakeets, cockatiels, conures..." because those are three very different sized birds there, and I frequently see them all classified as fitting into one small cage just fine.

My RTC is in an HQ Flight Cage where-as my mitred is in a WI32R YML cage.

If the two got along, I wouldn't put them in the flight cage but maybe the YML cage. If they were smaller conures though, they could both fit into the flight.

True. I liked this post :) I personally have lazy parrots, and active budgies.

I also noticed that many of the manufacturers recommendations seem a bit off like they don't know what they're talking about.

I have Peeko in this cage, and I think it would be plenty big enough for two green cheeks, if that's the kindof conure you're asking about.
