I got my Sootie home from the vets today after my short vacation (yaay! A happy reunion on both parts). I was taking a nap while she pottered about on the bed with me (which I do often- I'm careful not to let myself actually sleep while she's on the bed). Usually she will shove her head into the nook between my neck and the pillow, so she's all bundled up in my hair, and then come out again after a few seconds. She was doing this today but she just seemed really intent on finding a nook to hide in, and kept burrowing in folds in the duvet, pillow, the crook of my arm, etc.
Is this nesting behavior or just playing/ foraging? I'm flying with her in 6 weeks and I'd be horrified if she got an egg, i could never risk taking her on a plane if she had an egg!
