Fun with water....

After reading numerous posts about Conures who love water, I was disappointed that JellyBean never seemed to like bathing! He would bathe, now and again, but appeared to be more of necessity that enjoyment....finally, I took the plunge (pardon the pun) and took him into the shower... well he thought it was birdy heaven... warm misty water, he LOVES it! He had to share a photo with all his birdy friends (the shampoo is purely decorative.. lol)

Congrats, but you might want to try a cooler temperature.....not long after I brought my nanday & his girlfriend home, I happened to put some crushed ice in their water dish & he started bathing in it, so fixed up a larger bowl and he jumped right in, though his girlfriend Jimmi was not as quick to jump in, though she eventually took to ice water baths also...now, their baths have to have crushed ice in them or the birds will squawk until I put it in.....

Don't worry about puns, I often do that on purpose.....well timed puns often will catch some readers off guard, causing them have problems with food or drink, so you might want to preface such a posting with a warning as it seems we have several rather chronic snackers & drinkers around here...apparently mostly of the morning variety as that's when they've complained of being caught off guard.....

Yeah, my birds all love their baths / showers cold, too. I have a cold/hot water dispenser and when I put the cold water in first thing in the morning everyone wants to take a bath. They all love the shower, too!

JellyBean looks so cute in there, having a blast. Does he try to drink the water droplets out of the air? Both of my conures do that

I photo-shopped a little bottle of shampoo that I put in the shower with him!! Though it might be funny, if I changed the label... lol
