my conure is awesome

Conure, that is. (Darn auto correct)---But she is very very picky too. She seems to only want to eat millet, nuts and seeds. All of the above I reserve for times out of the cage, training, and/or foraging-type toys....but she just doesn't really eat the fresh fruits/veggies at all I serve up in the morning and evening.

When trying to get our birds to try new things, many of us have found that if we sit down at the table, invite the feathered friend that needs to try new things and everybody try these new things, making a lot of oohhs, ahhs & lip smacking, so the newcomer gets the idea the new foods are good.....whether in the wild or as a companion parrot, they all learn by watching their flock mates and since you have brought her into your flock, you are her flock mate and will be looked to for guidance.....enjoy your new diet.....

I've heard that for years! It doesn't work around here. My birds will look at me like I'm a nut, and if it's something they don't want, they'll shut their lips tight and turn away. IF they decide to try (whatever food it is) they'll still drop it if they don't like it, no matter how good I make it seem. I've tried this on several species before, but no success. Believe it or not, I STILL do it (did it today in fact) even though it's never worked lol. I guess I do it in hopes that one day someone here will act like a "normal" parrot!

I fixed the spelling for you.

Sometimes they take a while to adjust to changes. Maybe if you limit the "treat" foods of nuts/seeds and keep them only in a foraging toy or a separate tiny dish for a while, and keep pellet, veggies, maybe a little quinoa on a different spot, the bird will begin to try more and more.
Sometimes it is the size/shape/color of something that throws them off and if you cut it differently or mix it all together, they accept it. I had to switch my pellet from coarse to fine. He has no 'problem' eating coarse, he simply decided he doesn't like eating it and he gobbles the fine. So I go with it.
I do the oooh and aaah thing and I can normally get Gil to taste something. He goes through this dance and bowing and fluffing feathers and flashing eyes and saying "OOOOOH" and tastes it (sometimes just to throw it to the dog a few seconds later, true, but other times he finds something new he enjoys.)
And although this sounds a bit 'radical', I have let Gilbert try less healthy versions of something healthy if he will eat it, hoping he learns to associate that food with good stuff. (have a bite of cheesy broccoli and later put a plate of broccoli in his cage and he will often eat some of it instead of completely blowing it off.)
By the way, my sun conure was EXTREMELY picky too. (assuming by your username that your conure is a sun...)

My GCC is so picky. I've given him a variety of foods and he tries pretty much everything but you'll know when he's unhappy with what you've given him to try. I found a bit more success with the pellets if they are moistened with fruit juice. He loves chop and mashed up foods.

He also loves to fling all the bits and pieces around.

Love that bird!

Raku likes the Lafeber Nutriberries almost as much as he likes seeds, and way more than he likes regular pellets.

I think most of them love Nutri berries. Gil gets them as a treat.
