Biting while on back

1- SUN CONURE
Our 5 1/2 month old Sun Conure, Peanut has recently starting turning onto her back. However, she will only do it while standing on the seat of the couch. She reaches her foot up for your finger, and when you give it to her she flips over on her back and will immediately begin to bite my finger. She doesn't bite any other time. I continue to push her beak off of my finger, but she doesn't let up, and will throw a birdie tantrum.
Anytime she is on the couch cushions, going between my fiancé and I, she is trying to find something to hold onto to flip over.

Any suggestions??

Sounds like she's trying to find extra support through your finger. I see--read it as more of a game she likes to play. It's probably something still a bit scary so she has to grab onto the "perch" (why the grip is so strong, luckily they usually only use that force on their actual perches) for an extra sense of security.

We have a similar issue - Nibbler seems to like an "on his back" belly rub, but bites our fingers like crazy (not too hard but still hard enough) when we do and then seems to get mad that we stopped!!! He seems to do it in the same way as our dogs when we "play fight" - I am trying to slowly change this (like the dogs - they learned to do it easy) but we'll have to wait and see.

None at the moment
My Sennie does the same thing, so when she rolls over its my cue for "hands off" and I just let her figure it out. Like Birdman said to me, its like "Look how cute I am, rub my belly, haha chomp! Got you haha!" He said something similar to that.

Sydney my sennie walks across the floor, which he knows I don't like (don't want to accidentally step on him) and when I go to pick him up he flips on his back (better to bite you my dear!)

However, if I cradle him in my hand on his back and tickle his belly he laughs like a deranged person.

Aww that sounds so cute, you should totally try to get a video of him doing that!

The first time I saw my GGC flip over and play fight, I thought it was adorable!
He wasn't trying to hurt me, and being on his back was more of a fun thing rather then a dominant move, so I decided to indulge him in his little game and tease him with my fingers just out of reach of his beak. We play this game quite often and I still find it adorable.
Even when he does inevitably beat me at the game (I always let him get a finger at the end ), he ends up 'sucking' more then biting with his beak.

It's very playful behavior and I can see why some people would want to restrict their parrot from doing it, but it all comes down to the strength of the play-biting. Birdy and I have worked it into positive activity which I completely encourage him to do.

Chopper does the same things, he'll act like he wants to hop on my finger and then start to roll over.

I flip him on his back and rub his beak, wingpits, etc. He puts up a fit but does love the game.

Idea? Rub the beak and the belly at the same time...seems like heaven for Chopper
