Blaze ~ Sun Conure
Turns out things went just as suspected between my boyfriend and I, and our relationship has come to an end. So sadly, I had to pack up Blaze and move him to my mom's house. She wasn't ecstatic about having another critter around, but I know she'll still take care of him while I'm away at school. Even so, I've only got a week left before my winter break starts to he won't be stuck in a foreign place without me for too long.

Still, I would greatly appreciate any advice on helping him getting settled in. There are many things here that he isn't used to. A new layout of the house, new schedule, and new animals. My mom's Yorkie (Bella) and my 16-year old cat (Fluff) also have residence here, but I'm more worried about how Blaze and Bella will act towards each other. Fluff is too old to really care anymore so she doesn't even give Blaze a second glance. She can't jump like she used to so she won't try to grab him out of the air. Bella seems to be weary of him. She doesn't understand why this feathery, flying, squawking thing is in her house and prefers to keep her distance. However, she has tried to jump up towards him when he was flying to me. I've been keeping a close eye on both of them.

This arrangement will be (at most) for a year. If things go as planned with college, I will be graduating next fall, and I live with my mother during the summer and winter breaks so she and Blaze won't be left completely alone with each other. I just want to know what would make things easier for both of them.

Here starts a new chapter of my life, and I don't plan on giving up Blaze during it.
