I have 3 birds. I could have sworn tiki is a boy. I bought Lola and they love each other. Then I bought kiwi and started noticing tiki almost trying to present himself to tiki and Lola doing a momma thing and feeding them. Can you tell gender by their eyes or another form? I can take pictures if needed

As with the majority of parrot species, the male and female GCC can look identical and have no real distinguishing differences. The head of the male might be comparatively larger or wider as with many species, but the only way to tell for sure is to get sex testing. The way it's done these days is by DNA taken from a small drop of blood or feathers plucked at the base.
Avian Services Center: DNA sexing and disease testing for all species of birds. Here is a link to Avian Biotech. They are well known, and are one of the companies who does this testing. You can request a kit from them (about 10 years ago I think it was $25??) OR, if you feel more comfortable with the vet doing it for you, you can certainly go that route, but will be much more expensive.

Nothing to add, just more questions. Out of our 5 Gcc, 4 were Dna tested. 3 girls 1 boy. The 3 girls were all very social, not very territorial. The boy, well, that's mine, that's mine, etc! Also encredibly a one person bird.
Yes, I am grouping multiple Gcc mutations, not sure if that matters.
Now, my JoJo, one of the most pleasant, loving, everyone is nice, birds I have ever known! And we have only been together 3 weeks!!
Girl?

Just wondering how you're doing this/these groupings ! ! !

My JoJo is a black caped, bongo, the male is a cinnamon, the other girl was a pineapple, not sure at the moment about the other two girls.
Guess my point/question was all the sweeties were girls, and the one toughfy is a male. Follow thru? But- with what I have had to pay to lawyers, why I feel the sweeties are girls- well-hey, that's why we still have praying mantis!

my first female gcc is far from a sweety and a bully.
My second one is sweet but if she wants something she will fight and bite.
On the other hand my fist male only bites me when i am fiddling in his cages and the other hasn't ever bitten me.
My mother also had 2 females and in my experience they are the more bitey ones.
what i have noticed that when my mom brings one off her birds in my room the females begin to try to intimidate them by puffing up and lengthen their necks up and down .
