Green Cheek Conure named Raku
So I got Raku a new toy and he seems to be afraid of it. He's staying on the opposite side of the cage from it. Should I take it out or just give him some time to get used to it? Or something else?

I know it might be strange but with turk when ever he is scared of anything new I keep playing with it my self and soon his interest is to much for him not to come and look and try his self. Also I put new bits be it rope or any toys in my mouth that works with turk but am birds are different.

My quakers are very suspicious about new toys. I usually put new toys on top of a cage and let them investigate while they are out before hanging it inside.

When I first got my galah, she didn't really go near toys. I put parts of her dinner in them. Bits of green vegetable, nuts. Stuff she wanted to check out.
