How do I stop my new babies exhausting themselves trying to escape their new cage? I don't think they have been in one before.
Because of my disability, I have the cage next to my chair so I can access them at all times, but I fear the stress of wanting to be nuzzled into my neck as opposed to behind bars is driving them crazy.

Hello :) If you are home a lot you could just use the cage as a night time sleeping cage. My bfa is scared of his cage but will use it to sleep in and puts himself to bed. He sees it as just a sleeping spot. In the day time he is climbing between his 2 stands, his rope, and his perches outside his cage. I am not sure if this was helpful at all but I hope it was

Thanks for replying Brittani. Yes you are right. I decided a few days ago that they just wouldn't settle in it. I was getting quite worried about them exhausting themselves. They are out with me all day now. I havent bought a stand yet, but will do soon. I am the stand at the moment :D although saying that, my curtain tie back are popular for watching the world go by.
I only put them in cage to sleep and cover it with a blanket. Strangely enough, I can hear them contentedly eating seed.
