My conure started biting

I have had my 6 month old Cherry Head Conure now for 3 days. I brought him home on Saturday. We set up his cage and he wondered around it for a bit then wanted out. He was really sweet. Yesterday was the same way sweet. He was out all day long. On his cage and on my shoulder. Well last night I tried to get him off of me and he bite me hard drawing blood. Now today I can't even get near him. If I go to his cage he goes to the back of it, he knows up up so tried to get him on my hand and all he did was try to bit me. I tried to ignore the bites but he got me good again and drew blood. Any suggestions on what I should do?

Sheldon goes through stages of biting. Man, is it frustrating!! he has his cute and cuddly days and then he turns Hyde on me :/ This may carry on for a few days and then he gets over it. Boy, does it ride in the back of my mind how those little birds can cause big pain.
Be patient and love the brat within
