Valentino "Tino" the Green Cheek Conure
Hi! Some of you may have seen me posting around about my 2 (now three) month old conure, Valentino and his gnawing problem...

Hes still does this (sometimes even harder than before) but ive recently started trying to teach him things as a way of distraction.

So far hes learned to wave, bob his head, and turn! Im very proud of him and im making a little list of good practical tricks to teach him when hes older..

Im still working on the biting problem though. I havent yet found a way of pressure training that works for him. :[ he can be very moody and complicated.

Ive heard around that either way with time his bad habits like this should die down soon.. Is this correct?

Thanks a lot!! :rainbow1:

Actually? honestly i think hes getting worse :[

For some reason hes started purposely biting me aggressively whenever i let him up on my hand..

Its really bumming me out (i wont give up though!) because hes never bit me this hard before and im scared I ruined our relationship somehow..

Don't be bummed out, they are as complex as you and me. Back off and come back in to be trusted. The little bugger definitely does wants to bond, but is scared!
