I have one Sun Conure named Popsicle
well Popsicle made it to his first vet visit yesterday since I got him on July 10th. I am really proud of him he did really good. And he wasn't as mad as I thought he would be. He was mad at me all day yesterday but he did give me one kiss but he is good today.

I had his toenails cut and flight feathers cut. My question is how long will it be before he will be able to fly again. I've decided I don't like the clipped wings.

Thanks,
MP:orange:

If I'm not mistaken, it shouldn't take too long; I believe it takes about a month or two for all the feathers to fall out and another month or all of them to grow back.

1 Yellow Sided Green Cheek Conure: Cody <3
Cody took a year to grow his back, but he was also clipped when he was just a baby and all of his feathers were new, so it took a very long time for him to molt them all out. Your sun should only need a good 2-4 flight feathers to fly, so it shouldn't take too long. :)
