Foofanny is a bit of a weirdo. Favorite way to bath is under the sink faucet. She likes it running right over her head.

That's so cute! Avery always has to take it in her water bowl AS I clean her cage. As soon as it's clean or nearly clean, she hops in and "christens" it with her bath water... conures sure are quirky :)

Foo sometimes thinks it's great to do that and then you go and clean the bowl, and then she is in again, so then you clean the bowl and then she is in again. We've had to repeat that process several times over.

That is SO adorable, little Foo lol! Does Zekie only use his water bowl? Would a Starling sit under the sink like that too?

I'll have to get a picture, Zekie will go in the sink, but he baths in your cupped hand or any dish you are trying to wash! He does not like the full strength of water coming down on him, but he'll bath in any water he can find. His new thing is going into Foo's house and getting it soaked by bathing in her dish. :)

Until Zekie I had no idea how much starlings love water.

They also get like drunk sun bathing.

You can see his big bird feathers coming in well when he does this.

I've never heard of starlings before. They look so much like the wild birds you see outside!

Well, a little secret, parrots are wild birds seen outside depending on where you live. ;)

Starlings are all over the place. Here in the US they are considered an invasive species. I'm sure you have seen a LOT of them. :)

Zekie looks like what we call a crackling and those are everywhere. Do you know if a starling is the same as a crackling? Buddy loves to mimic all of their sounds, lol. They are smart, I've had to run them off of the trash bags and found where they had of course pulled things out of the bag but even loosened the tie. I use the bags with the ties built in. We also have one around our street that laughs like a person, cracks me up when I hear him out of the blue, lol.

Well, I'm wondering if it's a spin off of a grackle, which is a bird who lives naturally here in the US. (one of the ones that the naughty starlings fight for nests with) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Common_grackle

This would be a starling (a grown up one): https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Common_starling

They do look a bit alike. both eat insects and both are the ones who will typically eat off the ground for those feeding wild birds. Both can mimic. Starlings are a bit more accomplished mimics, they are in the family with minahs.

Here is one of my fave video of them talking from someone over on the talking starling board.
