Green Cheek Conure chewing my hair.

I had a 5 month old green cheek that I've had for about a week. He's gotten pretty comfortable with me. (Still not used to me handling him though) But he does like to climb up onto my shoulder. The only problem is every time he climbs onto my shoulder he usually will bite my neck and ear. But what I'm worried about is he will chew on my hair. I'm not sure if he's eating it but I can hear and feel him chewing on it. Is it unhealthy for him? Should I stop him whenever he does this or is it normal? Thanks!
(PS he also does this with the small hairs on my hand when I tell him to step up)

I had to stop wearing hair gel because Skittles loves to preen my hair.

I don't mind that so much, it tickles. What I don't like is when he pulls on the hairs of my beard. Grr.

My U2 was hanging off my beard at one point last night, lol

She also likes to prune hair...she'll prune my mother's and my sister's hair when they hold her as well.

This statement reminds me of a movie I once watched, it was a comedy about all the toxins in beauty products and all the news reporters were on screen without makeup or hair products and they looked really awful (or made to look awful because it was a comedy making fun of the epidemic). Anyway, I am picturing all of us parronts looking like that, no makeup and ungroomed hair, LOL. Being female, I haven't been able to give up hair gel because I WILL look like those unkempt hair people, but I almost never use hairspray.

I never wear makeup anyways, because I just don't care about looking my best all the time :p I believe beauty is over-rated.

But that said, yes Kyo loves to chew my hair too. I don't like letting her though because I always worry she'll get tangled in it and hurt herself.
