So... Kyo hasn't bit me badly in a long time. Today she has been a little more bitey than I am willing to accept. I put her on the floor as it is the worst thing in the world to her to not be with me. Normally she gets the hint and will go off and find something to do. Not today!

Well, little butt butt birdie discovered that being on the floor doesn't mean she can't bite me. Instead of finding something else to do, she discovered that she can climb up inside my pant leg and nip at my poor calves. As much as it sucked to have an overstimulated conure in my pant leg, it was kind of funny.

Ill have to start tucking my pants into my socks now hahaha She's still nipping my toes now... cranky bird. Was so cuddly and sweet this morning too. Wonder what I did to offend her :p

Never a dull moment!!!:21:

Yeah that's the thing with parrots they always try to find a way around the problem :p . Luckily my cockatiel cleo doesn't like enclosed spaces. Even though they bite we've got to love them. :D

Hahahaha! That's hilarious! In a painful way, of course. Conures always keep you on your toes. That, or keep you hiding your toes :D

Oh, those crazy conures! I can just picture Kyo doing that too. LOL. Too funny.

I gave up on trying to outsmart Skittles years ago. I had put up a beaded doorway separating the kitchen and living room (to keep him out while I was cooking). The little bugger flew to it, landed on the floor in front of it and climbed under it then flew up to my shoulder.

They are VERY persistent.

Back to her cuddly and only slightly nippy self this morning... unfortunately for her, I have a photoshoot after my day job today, so I'm almost certainly in for more punishment later...

Also, STILL waiting on that damn DNA test in the mail!! I'm getting impatient lol

RIP Gandalf and Big Bird, you are missed.
Yes, they can be extraordinarily willful little critters! Part of me longs for more "law and order" behavior, but I've come to realize they are flighted creatures in captivity, so I try to indulge their instincts even as they leave special marks in my flesh!!

That's the conure rule! Someone must be punished. Any handy flock member will do. Locked up to long just cause you were playing with pots on the oven, punishment time. Ignored for 1/2 hour, punishing time. Did you just eat something in front of them without sharing, punishment incoming. Did you just give that wretched other bird a toy, oh ya, either of you may be punished. were you playing in the kitchen sink with the dishes and didn't let the bird share in that joy, punished.

Foo's best one, when wanting to punish my husband is she puts on her best sweet face and holds her cute little foot way up in the air that just beckons someone to put their finger out so she can step up. As soon as finger approaches, foot down and incoming beak. Tricked you again fool!

Still no DNA results? Wow. I know I had to wait more than a few weeks for Skittles results. Like Tom Petty says, the waiting is the hardest part.

I think the punishment is sure to proceed as planned. I bet Kyo has a whole plan in place. Skittles is still working on his plan for world domination.

Sprout loved to nip me, especially if I dared try to replace his old toys with new ones. He didn't seem to understand I was trying to do him a favor! He hated to part with certain toys even though he shredded them to bits!
