As many of you know, I just got a sunday conure, and 2 cgc conures. I was just curious what the best kind of food would be to get them? The previous owner fed them cockateil food and a mix between cockatiel and parrot food. I wasnt sure if this was good for them or not?
The cgc's are comming around. Not freaking out as bad if someone walks into the room and they still continue to step up onto my finger from the cage, which i figure is good. Chilli is all up for human contact, and I find shes is very attached to me, if not protective. She is getting to where if my husband trys to touch her whe shes on me she freaks out. She even bit him harder the usual(she usually nibbles before stepping up). And my children too. Like earlier, isaiah walked up to us and she screached, bobbed her head, and fluffed up.
Oh! I just wanted to tell you guys this story too! Last night me ad my hubby was laying down watching tv and chilli was on my chest. Shes always rubbing her beak on my face as if trying to feed a baby bird(so weird lol) and she was playing with my hair again. Then tucked her head under the collar of my shirt and nibbled o my chest some then fell asleep. If I would talk she would mumble as if telling me to hush lol. So cute! Also I was told she couldt talk. I found that out wrong lol. She says What what? lol

There are plenty of great foods, but most will say harrisons. And fresh fruit.

I feed a mix of zupreem and harrisons, only because I'm still weaning my onto full harrisons. Not only are the ingredients organic, but they are also well chosen ingredients. Their are no artificial colors, preservatives or flavors. I also supplement my birds diet with fresh fruits and vegetables, herb salad(a mixture of herbs, bark, and seeds that birds use to self medicate) and healthy treats. You can get harrisons from most vets or order online. Hope this was helpful:)
