I gotta leave town for work for four days then I'll be back for a three day weekend then I'll be gone another 4 days. Don't worry I'm not leaving my bird alone I'm having my family look after him/her. What I'm worried about is that I haven't even had him for a month I feel I've developed a bond with him (Until I see he's just as friendly with all my visitors). But while I'm gone will that bond (That I think is there) deminish? Will he forget about me and bond with one of my family memebers. Sorry this may seem silly but it's something I'm worried about.

For four days he should be fine and your bond will most likely be still as strong as it was before you left :) . However it would not be good idea to do this regularly. Anyway i hope your trip goes well and he still loves you when you return. :D

I had Sheldon only for a few weeks too and had to leave on a trip to Washington DC with my daughter on a field trip for a week. I left him with a neighbor. He stayed penned up for the week but she did put on Dora the Explorer and sat with him when she could. I was also worried he'd be mad at us for leaving. We got lots of kisses when we returned.

Bond will be still good! A great side benefit is this may help your baby to be a bit more social! My JoJo was becoming way too possessive of me and the rest of the family was suffering. When I had to leave, 10 days, he and my daughter became well bonded, but as friends. When I came home, so funny, JoJo did the birdie equivalent of a happy dance!
