Sudden aggression - please help!

Hi everyone! I have had my beautiful green cheek for 5 weeks now. The first few weeks were absolutely amazing and it seemed she really loved me and we bonded well but now she seems to hate me. It has now gotten to the point where she won't even come out of the cage when I put my hand at the door like she used to - she comes out when my partner does though. She has become very bitey with me and just the other day I had her on my chest and I was walking around with her and she latched on to my cheek! I took her off me, held her beak and said no! and put her back in her cage like I have been told but nothing seems to be working.

What do I do?

The link David provided is a really good one. (Though the 2nd link only goes to a failed search?)

Keep in mind, also, that telling your bird "No" and putting her on timeout does not yield instantaneous results. It is by no means a one and done. This has to be done consistently until the association is made between nippy behavior and timeouts.

But don't forget to reward the good behaviors. Your partner seems to have become her favored person, so make sure that you're the one to feed her special treats and "rescue" her from timeouts. Try to make being with you a fun experience for her.
