Hello, yesterday we purchased our female baby turquoise green cheek conure(7-8 weeks old). At home she came out of her cage alone and was super cuddly and friendly, she refused to leave my shoulder. We will leave her cage door open and she will come to us on free will. Today is day two of being here and we are giving her the option of coming to us by leaving the cage door open. She will fly to us and is starting to bite us fairly hard. On the hand, lip, nose, ear etc... Again we don't force her to be with us we leave her door open and give her the option of coming to us. I have been using the word No in a calm manner and immediately bring her back to her cage and lock the door when she bites. This has been going on all day and I'm just wondering if what I'm doing is a good method to stop this, also why do you think she's doing this.
