Screech has potty training himself, but not the way you'd think. The only time he's in his cage is when we have to leave the house and at night. I put him to bed at 8:00pm and let him out around 7:30am. This little bird will not poop in his cage! So it's a mad dash out to the play stand on the porch when he comes out. Then he relives himself all day wherever he is, but I notice lately he leaves us when he has to go too which is nice. He's always careful to get his bottom on the edge of something and not on a flat surface. This is all good, but what if we have to go,out for a,long time? I worry about his little bladder. Should I worry, or,not? The vet didn't seem a bit, worried, about it.

Great question lplummer I have often wondered the same about potty training and I havent potty trained Peter Pan nor have I thought about pottytraining Mr Biggles but they both seem to do the opposite to Screech as they will each return to their cage to go potty so thankfully I have no worries when leaving the house for a few hours and leaving them safely in their cages but it will be very interesting to read the replies you get and how people deal with potty training and potty trained Fids. Thanks for raising the issue :)
