Cody(conure)
Hi there im new to this forum and new to conures.
I got my first conure(CODY) yesterday and i love him to bits. He was snuggled up inside my hoodie this afternoon:D.

What kind of fruits and veg can he have?

Also once i have uploaded a pic of him i would like it if someone could tell me what type of conure he is? I dont actually know what sex he is yet so he will do just now:11:.

Advice much appreciated thank you.

Hello again, most all fruits and veggies are good, try a wide variety of them and you'll get to know his favorites, I would suggest once you find what he likes that you rotate them around from day to day or however often you offer them to him so he doesn't become bored with the same foods all the time, small amounts of dairy products such as yogart, can be given occasionally but not on a regular basis as birds are lactose intolerante, eggs, both hard boiled and scambled are a good source of protien, you can leave some of the shell in as well for a source of calcium, here is a link to a list of the top ten no no's to feed your fid (fid=feathered kid) :)

Welcome to the forums Cody.

We'd love to see a pic and we could help identify him.

Or if you could describe him I'm sure we could get pretty close: conures are generally pretty easy to tell apart.

Snuggling up in a hoodie definitely sounds like a Dusky or GCC type of thing to do.

Definitely a A Dusky trait ^.^ My dusty loves snuggling in my hoodies, or in my shirt, or under a blankey i may have wrapped around me. Though, will he snuggle in the huts I put in his cage? The answer is no ^.^
