Kermit had quite the little adventure today.
My mom and I were heading down to our old house (about 30 min away) so she could go out to lunch and I could say hi to my grandmother. I included Kermit on this expedition so he could visit my grandmother (she loves birds and watched after my previous budgie while I was away at school). He did really awesome in the car, tucked away in his sleeping cage and buckled up in the back. At first he seemed confused but the longer we drove, the more comfy he got.
I get to my grandmother's house (having dropped off my mom at lunch first) and let her oo and ahh at my precious baby A friend of mine, whom Kermit met yesterday, came over as well. We all hung out for a few hours and Kermit had such a lovely time.
Then my mom said she wanted to come shopping so I let Kermit hang out at my grandmother's house for a few hours while we were out. When I came back and we started driving home, I saw a larger petstore. I've been meaning to grab more toys (the pet stores near my house are so small and I've already picked over their limited supply) and since we didn't want to leave him in the car, I put his cage in the shopping cart and we had a nice 20 minutes grabbing a whole bunch of toys!
I hope the day wasn't too much for him >v> I didn't realize how ambitious it would end up at the end of it haha. I just want to make sure he's well socialized and knows how to travel well while I still have the advantage of him bein a baby <3
He seems pretty sleepy now. I think he's just worn out but I'll be watching him closely for the next hour or so just to make sure. Just thought I'd share the adventure and maybe gather some tips so the next one is even more succesful.
