So...my husband and I are preparing to leave the house for an hour or two. I put Early Bird in her cage. She begins frantically scampering up and down and falling dramatically into her pellet bowl. Shaking herself off and repeating. I'm feeling like a wretch for imprisoning her, talking to her softly. I turn and walk away and she jumps on the floor of the cage and darts back and forth in a panic. I feel awful.🙁
My mind is racing on how we'll get through the next 30 years without leaving the house, maybe I need a pack o bird, I don't have $200... but what do I do today in light of this trajedy!?
I go get my husband to witness this awful event, and we peek around the corner to observe her without making it more painful for her. Early bird is very happily sitting on her fruit and vegetable bowl munching away, without a care in the world. She totally faked me out. I checked again right before we walked out the door, she's just sitting as peaceful as can be holding an apple in her foot. 🤔
Anyone else have a faker?
