our new blue crown is doing well. I am new to all of this but he appears to be adjusting quite well. He always comes out of the cage eagerly. Does not bite and loves his scritches. I think he has learned his name since basically all last week I talked to him constantly while letting him learn his new cage and toys and once I figured out his name I called it to him..a lot! He preens me, gives kisses, let me give him belly kisses, and seems to just want to play play play.
now for the question part...
How often should I be holding him? When he is out playing, I give him scitches when he seems interested and talk and sing to him. He seems like hes trying very hard to talk back to me. I dont want to overwhelm him with everything being so new to him but at the same time, I want him to be okay with being pet or held or whatever. It is such a different experience with the two of them that I'm just worried I may or may not be doing something I should be. There are times where I can pet him and he seems to really enjoy it and other times where he is just not quite sure which is totally understandable. So I'm caught between thinking he seems settled in, is eating fine, loves to play but then at other times he seems totally disinterested and unsure of me and I'm just not sure how to proceed correctly.

my gcc is always on my shoulder. He follows me everywhere and he just lands there or at night he snuggles in for a cuddle. I read online this is a no no? I understand the reasons but I can not see retraining my gcc to not do this, and the bcc seems to prefer the sitting there if I let him. Any advice or this as well would be appreciated!!
thanks:)
