Ok, so he got his first bath this morning ... I think I can see his thoughts in these 4 pictures:

First: "Oh, this sucks! WHY would you do this to me?!"
Second: "Well, maybe it might be OK ... "
Third: "YEAH, this is nice!!"
Fourth: "Can we do this again tomorrow?"

OMG they are wonderful, but that 3rd one, is truly amazing, I think I'd have to have that blown up and framed. He is totally enjoying that, just look at his face.

BRILLIANT.

I'd like my cunure also to take a bath, how do you guys do it? The only one willing to take a bath is Kodie, actually he showers with us. But how do you introduce a bath time like that, i dont want to scare the poor baby. Do you just throw him in there and hope he likes it or is there something else?

I've tried it with the tiels in the bathroom zink but they hated it. Should i rather leave a bowl in its cage? I know they like bathing, my ringneck baths in the drinking bowl and splatters on every bird and they love it. So how do you guys do it???

Well, for some reason he knew the word "bath" (which we thouhgt weird since we bought him at a pet shop) and got really excited when we said it. What we did was put a shallow serving platter in the kitchen sink and put water in it. We brought him over the the sink, put him in the water and after a few minutes of coaxing (and dribbiling water on his head which is what we were doing in the first picture) I guess nature just took over ...

It was a lot of fun to watch, but when he flapped his wings ... we both got soaked (along with the entire kitchen ... I never knew water could travel so far ... actaully I never knew A LOT OF THINGS could travel so far seeds, pellets, grapes, egg, oatmeal ... shhhhesh)

Wilma, Bucc hates to have showers and throws a blue fit even when I have to mist him. The tiels love to be misted but won't take a bath on their own, Rosellas love it, as does the Red Rump, The Linnies well they would take baths, misting and anyother water showers they can get, but will not take on in the bird bath we have for them. Crazy.

I wish Bucc would take a shower I'm sure he would love it, especially when he's moulting.

Ok all this talk about bath time made me think. Cricket was slowly introduced to the sounds of the bath room and has been sprinkled, well I thought it was time for an all out soaking and I have to say I don't think she knew what to make of it.... No wing flapping but but we had eyes closed and a mouth movement that I can only explain as a kid trying to catch a snow flake.

After the birdy torture, man did I get a look, and since pictures say 1,000 words....

:18: Oh yeah I get that very same look, and if I dare get too close he just sits there with that look and says "Dontcha dare" when I do he then says in his very deep voice "Bucc's gonna getcha"

I run and hide at that point. You can tell who's the boss in this household. :18:

No, he will fly at me, but has NEVER bitten me ............................YET!!!!!!
