Peace & Quiet (Yellow-Sided Green Cheek Conures, brother and sister). They are my babies whom I love very much and they are such a blessing.
Wondering why my baby girl Qui Qui keeps kissing me so much by biting my lip/nibbling. Trying to be cautious and wondering why she keep expressing affection this way...

Don't know if she's wanting something from me or trying to express emotion.

The Rickeybird would LOVE to nibble my lip but he just gets too rough. I allow him to do a quick kiss (more like he bonks my lip briefly with his beak). Here's a vid of what I'm taking about... it's towards the very last... our little bedtime routine.

Maybe some GCC experts will join in. Patagonians can be really be pretty un-conurely sometimes...

Not to get personal or anything, but have you been kissing people around her?

My bird started making imitating kissing noises whenever he saw me and my wife kissing, and eventually started doing it when he beaks/bites to try and show that he means it affectionately. Of course we found it cute and that encourages him.

Here's another look at our "kisses". It seems to satisfy him and keep my lip in one piece.

As I recall, we started it by me just kinda bobbing at him, and he got the idea.

Seems very normal. When another bird wants attention, food, to mate, or just say hi they often use the beak. Beak to beak touching and nipping is what birds do.

My bird love to get a hold of my lip but I do no allow it. I think he does it for sexual reason. He also gets too rough. I keep him away from my face all the times.

It is also not a good Idea to share your mouth germs with the bird.

Funny, when Salty went on his one play date with Amy, the BFA, the frst thing they did was kissy face. Amy is 2x the size of Salty BTW. Salty will give kisses to me, but I try to keep my lips sealed tight because he can get rough, and mouth germs are NOT good for parrots - they have no resistance to the bacteria in human mouths. Noses, either.

RIP Gandalf and Big Bird, you are missed.
A very common parrot behavior! Many of mine do this when they are happy to see me, are hungry, or at times they do this as discipline: stop doing what you are doing!

Two cautions; the risk of bacteria contamination from humans is significant, and you must trust the bird sufficiently to not bite and hurt.

For my JoJo and me, smooches are our accepted contact call. When we get rolling, we change the count and the other responds in kind!
For direct kisses, JoJo kisses my nose, otherwise I end up with red spots that my Dermatologist keeps trying to freeze off!
