- Blue Fronted Amazon, Cookie..Sun Conure..lil Booger (RIP) Have owned Parakeets, lovebirds, cockatiels, cockatoos, pocket parrot, and quakers.
Never heard of Harrisons Bird Bread... but I routinely make lil sandwiches for my birdies... using whole grain organic bread I get from the deli and thin slice myself. Usually the inards are natural almond butter, which is easy to mix with meds/and or supplement my youngins might need. As far as getting them to try diff foods they usually bum/beg from me when Im eating...so I put stuff I want them to try on my plate. My critters have a very rich and varied diet. Might take a lil patience but their curiosity usually gets the best of them. Good luck
