Hi All, I'm really tired of going into our local pet shop for my birds seed. The help is pathetic these days and the animals are just sad.

Anyway, I originally had my GCC on Kaytee healthy support seed then they changed it to Vaulkmans. The seed is not Sheldons exclusive diet. He does have free choice Rodybush pellets and the occasional crunchy from our plates.

My question: is there a place on line that I can purchase this seed or is there any seed that you specifically find more ideal for these conures? I really want whats best for Sheldon. I ran it past my avian vet and he seems pleased with either product. He really hasnt mentioned any other that I should get.

WHat are your thoughts. ?

Try using Parrot Island located in Minnesota. They source from local Farmers in Wisconsin that grow to specific standards that assure the quality that we have wanted.

The neat part of their process is that the combining of high quality seeds, grains, nuts and pellets. They also have freeze dried Veggies and Fruits, etc. that can be added.

They have blends for specific species and can also blend to specific needs.

Take a look and I am going to guess you will like what you will find!

I buy all my pet food from Chewy.com. Used to order from Amazon but Chewy lately has better prices. I buy Volkmann's cockatiel sunflower seed-less seed mix, Zupreem fruit pellets, and then Taste of the Wild for both the dog and cats and then fish flakes for the fishies!

Free shipping if you order over $50, which I usually always do. It gets to my house within 2-3 days. Chewy doesn't carry their Tropimix mix, only Amazon has that. I also feed my birds chop - fresh chopped fruits, veggies, grains and legumes served daily. It's great nutrition and my birds seem to like the variety!

We don't buy Bacca's food there, but my wife orders the seed/worms/etc.. for what we call the "Dirty birds" (the outside ones) from Chewy.

I LOVE Organic Best Bird Food & Seed! BirD-elicious! Origins!

It is family run and they hand make all their bird food and use profits to support their bird rescue shelter they operate. It is very good stuff and the people who own/run it are VERY nice. It is clear they love birds and take pride in what they do. They have tons of freshly sprouted good stuff in their food mix. If you do buy some of their foods... the second you receive it you will definitely notice a huge difference in the quality of their mix vs many others, there is no doubt about that.
