HI I've had my conure for 7 months and when I got him his flight feathers were clipped I would like to know how long it takes for a conure's flight feathers to grow back

It depends on their molting season. I think birds typically molt in the spring (at least in the US). This depends on if you have him on a natural light schedule-- if you do, his molting season should coincide with the seasons. In any case, they go through one big molt a year. So long as you have him on a good diet and natural light schedule, he should be due soon :)

Generally speaking, birds molt throughout the year while undergoing a full molt annually. Usually, in 6-12mos you should be able to see a new full set of flight feathers. But feather molting is notoriously unpredictable. So many factors come into play.

In my experience flight feather re growth can take anywhere from 6 to 12 months to complete. Murphy is 6 months old and his flight feathers are almost grown back in completely. There are supplements you can give them in their drinking water. One is sold on amazon called Featheriffic. I did give my boys this for a few months. The first indication you will notice is the cut flight feathers will fall to the cage bottom. After that it will take a month or two more. Its a wonderful thing for a bird to fly. Be very observant of the flying for a while because the birds are not used to it. Yesterday Murphy flew up to the ceiling and surprised himself and me.
