Sun Conure
I'm getting a second Sun Conure and I saw this little baby girl conure and I wasn't sure if she's a red factor baby or if she's a Jenday Conure and Sun conure mix. I wasn't sure on getting her either since I have a male Sun Conure and I don't plan on breeding them together. But I'd still like to know if I should pick this red baby or if I should switch to a male...

Looks like a Gold Capped conure. That looks like a store you're at? What did they say?

They said it's a Sun Conure but she also said that her breeder did not say anything about other types of conures. Just Sun Conure. And these are babies so they are more green.

I'm inclined to think it's a regular sun or a mix. Usually the red factors have very red heads and don't get much yellow in them, even as babies they're very red. In this baby I see a good amount of yellow.

The thing about suns, if you aren't sure of the breed, is that it can be up to six months before you can tell for sure. Suns, jendays and sundays are all identical as babies. Once they start their first molt, you will notice for sure.

Will like to see an update to this post to see pics to see how your bird turned out looking as an adult. I am sure it is a beautiful bird. It looked like a genuine red factor sun conure.
