Questions on Conures

Currently doing some research so I could compile a list of needs for a gcc I was particularly confused on diet for pellets I decided on Harrison's fine but I was also looking into other dietary needs some people say seed mixes are the worst others say they should be used as treats and there's also some people who say to mix them in of course I would feed fresh fruits and veggies but I'm puzzled on what else should be in gcc bowl on a daily basis? Besides food I was just wondering what toys were the best and which your conures enjoy the most? Any other advice on green cheeks would be great! Thanks in advance

I do a dish of pellets. And a dish of veggies. Fruit once a week. Veggies can include:
-Broccoli
-peppers (bell, jalepeno, or habenero)
-kale
-spinach
-carrots
-radish
And tons more
Fruit favorites are apple and banana
They can have quinoa too.

Basically just about all pellets are better than a seed diet.

Kaytee and Higgins are good.

I recommend Kaytee healthy toppings for treats, it's papaya cubes in a 2.5 oz bag.
Higgins Sunburst true fruits is also good, My bird climbs down my arm when I pick up that bag.

Now that being said a sunflower or two won't hurt or a safflower seed. Just make sure your GCC is into his pellets.

Fruits and vegetables are good but use them as treats and eat it with them or you miss out on the fun. Me and clark often share an orange, strawberrys, or an apple.

Also in general anything that is healthy for you to eat, is "generally" safe for your conure. Bread, salad, even a sliver of chicken etc. in moderation is fine. So if he steals some of your human food, (he will) you don't need to panic. But don't give him anything chocolate or sugary.

my guy had raisins as his treat food so I normally gave him a few pellets as a snack between dinner and sleep. He wasn't too fussed over them so it was fine. As for fruit and veg I fed fruit as breakfast and veg as dinner, keep it varied, you'd get bored with the same meal every night. Pellets I would have in throughout the day, I'd also hide seeds and raisins around the cage as foraging opportunities.

Toy wise I'd say one of each type, foot, chew, shred, preen. As for a specific toy I'll say this. I spent about £400 on toys for him. His favourite toy was the bottlecap from a lucozade. Gives you an idea what they're like. Also make toys, can be anything really. I tied a plastic ball with a ball in side to a bit or rope and hung it from his swing. Questions on Conures regarding Rebonding

Hi i have a question to ask. I have 2 peach fronted conures in one cage and they are bonded with each other. 5 months ago i had only one and was learning a lot and also was bonded with me always on my shoulder. The problem was when i got the second one. They bonded together and wouldnt learn anymore and prefer to remain on the cage than on me.

Can i seperate them in a different cage and in a different room so as to start the bonding with me again and also to start learning again? Or will there be more damage than good?
