Carpet Cleaning

Hey everyone,

So my parents decided it was a good idea to clean the carpets without letting me know and I had to move the little booger (GCC) over to my folks room. They used Rug Doctor Oxi-Steam Carpet Cleaner 2x concentrated. If I speak to them about it they simply yell at me saying it's like clothing detergent and say the bird will Ben fine. Even if I know otherwise. Besides leaving the windows open to air out how long will I have to keep him out of my room. And will he be okay? I attached a picture of the product. Any advice would be nice. 😊

I'd try and call the manufacturers to see what they recommend. Can choose your friends but not your family eh?

At least several days IMO. The house will need airing out fully to eliminate fumes.

Is there a trusted friend or another sensible family member you can stay with up to a week?

Sadly no but I called a nearby vet and they said that if the smell is gone then it's fine to move them back into the room.
