apples for sure, oranges and strawberries, grapes, bananas, papaya, any of the standard fare. If he's not sure a first...you eat them....then it's suddenly irresistible.

Here's a link to my Bird CHOP thread! The pictures aren't showing up anymore (stupid photobucket) but you can still follow what I wrote. There are SO many things you can feed parrots, not only fruits and veggies but also cooked legumes and grains! MMm...

What sort of pellets are you feeding him?

I feed Skittles the Harrisons HP Fine and he LOVES it. Some people use Zupreem.

As for fruits and vegetables. Ideally, you want to go with ones rich in Vitamin A, the 'meaty' orange and green ones. IE, papaya, mango, star fruit, sweet potato, carrots, broccoli, spinach.

However, you may find that your sun wont eat many of those (depending on their personal taste). The only ones I listed that he will eat are sweet potatoes and broccoli.

I find that the fruits Skittles likes the most are grapes (washed and peeled), apples (washed and peeled) and strawberries (I feed him the center pieces of the berry). He also likes cantaloupe.

He loves his 'morning juice' too.

You don't want to overdue it on the seed treats though. You don't want him thinking that is his main diet plus they are rather fattening (hence why they are used as treats).

Thanks so much on the feedback, the pellets i use are Zupreem and i also use a bag of mixed seeds and dried fruits and vitamins from a brand called ALL LIVING THINGS, should i mix both foods together in one bowl for my bird to eat from?
Thanks

To add to the brill advice and links above, supplement vitamins should not be necessary, certainly if pellets are being fed. Too much is as bad as not enough!

Certainly go very easy on any food that is high fat. Our birds do not do the air miles their wild cousins do and this can and does lead to a shortened life in our care.

I love everyone's suggestions! I also "cook" for my birds about every 2 weeks. I soak about 5-6 different bean overnight in a rice cooker. I then rinse the beans and fill the water about an inch over the beans. I then add brown rice, multicolor quinoa, and wheat pasta. Then I add the correct amount of additional water for those items. I cook it on the brown rice setting and then put in in those itty bitty square Tupperware containers in about 14-20 portions. They are popped in the freezer for safe keeping. Every morning I cook them for 40 seconds in the morning in the microwave and let them cool to a comfortable temperature. Every bird I have goes CRAZY for this mixture. Just make sure, like any fresh food, you don't let it sit in their feeding station/cage too long. I usually order a fancy bean mix from Amazon for birds then pick up a bean mix from our local very reputable bird mart or grocery store. Good luck!

I cook super food grains like quinoa for my birds and they love it. As for fruits and veggies, they can basically eat anything except avocoado, tomatoes, onions, and mushrooms. My conure's favorite foods are corn, peas, sweet potatoes, grapes, raisins, apples, raspberries, and blackberries. Of course, dark leafy greens are better for him but he refuses.
