losing tail feathers

Hi again, Coco is healthy and happy and has a good balanced diet although she is not a huge fan of leafy greens, but she does eat a little bit.
She has lost about 2-3 tail feathers and one secondary wing feather over the last 3-4 weeks. Is this normal? I dont know when her next molt can be expected as I have not had her that long.

How long have you had her? How old is she? Are there feathers coming in where those were shed?

It's molting season for my green cheek now, it could be for yours as well. They usually have a major molting 2 times a year. I wouldn't say it's anything to be worried about as long as you see her growing new feathers to replace the ones she's lost soon.

well she JUST had a nice bath and since everything is so much more VISIBLE when she is wet, I saw what appeared to be a pin feather coming out where her tail feathers grow from..so I'm not too worried....I have had her almost 3 months and was told she is around 2 yrs old. Due to a language barrier etc the previous owner couldn't tell me when her last molt was....
