I think that today Syd and I had a conversation. He was on my shoulder as I was doing chores around the house and I must have done something he wasn't sure about and he bit my ear.

Me Well that hurt - no biting!

Syd I'm sorry - OK?

Me OK just don't do it again!

Syd OK! kisses!

I'm so glad we were alone. I am not ready to be known as the batty bird lady!

OH hell I talk to clark all the time. If he doesn't know what to say he makes some random noise, waits for me to answer then repeats some other noise....continue ad-infinitum.

I agree! Plus he does respond, I'm just to dumb to understand what he's saying most the time.

yep, Coco and I talk all the time but it's not English....she stays more quiet if I speak normal words but if I make all sorts of noises by drawing air in through my teeth or lips, she is very chatty back at me.

I do lotso f that too skidood, along with tongue clicking, kissy noises ETC. I found it handy for stopping the contact calls

Thanks guys - lots of giggles there on a miserable rainy day in the UK!

Having glowed with pride and just a little humility I now discover he's just a liar. Having nipped my ear (bloodless thank goodness) and saying such a sweet I'm sorry etc he has become quite niggly and has nipped me more than ever and as I write is killing his toys. He certainly knows the word but not the meaning. Perhaps he just needs to see the sun! Bless him!

My conversations with JoJo are more like,

He bites, I say “hey, why did you bite me like that?"
He says, "I’m sorry, which way did you want me to bite you?"
He then kisses me on the nose!
