View attachment 19794 4ECC5643-AB81-4F2B-9C90-CDD97C7A7A53.jpegHi, just have a quick question. Is this a red factor sun conure? Was planing to buy it. And if it is is it more on the orange side? And will it be more red when it molts? And even if it does will it still be on the orange side. I want a pretty high red sun conure for what I’m paying for it. Obviously lighting plays a big role in how red it looks so do I have to see it in person to know for sure?

Picture of parents included

Yes, that is an RF sun. Yes, color may intensify with age.

What is the breeder selling the chick as?

Do they provide pictures of the parents?

He is selling it as a Red Factor Sun Conure.

I asked the breeder for pictures of the parents, but he said it’s not his pair and that he got the chick from a friend(that maybe provides him with his babies?)

Just want don’t want a tangerine chick as it seems as if it is. Don’t know what to do.

It’s a pet store btw. So I don’t know if you would classify it as a breeder.

Yep that's a Red factor sun conure, not the most red I've seen but as mentioned it could redden with maturity. Sounds like the pet store may get their babies from other breeders, it's common for pet stores to do this and charge a premium in the store. I've seen red factors go for around $600.

Not the most red you’ve seen compared to other baby’s or compared to adults that have already molted? Just wondering because I want a pretty intense red adult and was wondering if the chick would come out that way.

Just posted picture of the parents let me know what you think.

Also, do you think I’m overpaying for the chick? He wants $750 for it including shipping.

you're no overpaying for that breed! The parents are beautiful! I'd like to see a pic from the front too of the one your buying.

I didn't see the parents but you can count on the chick looking a lot like them. It's usually around $130-180 for smaller birds to fly shipped, it's not a bad deal. I Of course you'll want to make sure that they are a legit, real store and aren't scamming you.

ah the parents are a normal and a full true Red Factor

$750 for a red factor does seem reasonable, but if possible I would go to the store first before handing a penny over. So many people find rare birds at decent prices, they pay the deposit and shipping (normally $100-$150) then POOF bird and store suddenly disappear into a different dimension.

Only ever pay using paypal where you get your money back if they don't deliver. If they refuse to take a secure payment method then back away
