Okay so Zelda kinda weirded me last night (and still). I put her to bed (covered her cage with a sheet) like normal and after a few minutes I heard her rustling around. She then started chirping in short bursts and then would grumble to herself. Back and forth, back and forth. Then she just started grinding her beak over and over (not the normal happy grinding. Just sounds like she’s cracking a shell)

Sooooo, is Zelda dreaming??

The Rb dreams all the time... eyes closed, toes twitching, wings shaking, mumbling actively about various topics of interest. Sometimes he wakes himself up and seems shocked not to be wherever he was!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Looks around, like... "wha'??????"

Parrots dream, no question in that regard. Activity level is different between one and another and is note worthy.

But, as stated above Parrots are just as likely too, and supported by increased activity, just be playing.

I'm going with playing.

A crossover Quaker Scuti (F), A Sun conure named AC, A Cinnamon Green Cheek conure Kent, and 6 budgies, Scuti Jr. (f), yellow (m), clark Jr. (m), Dot (f), Zebra(f), Machine (m).
TOTALLY NORMAL Clark goes to sleep practicing words then I can hear him making words a lot at night, even in his sleep. lots of grunts and urmphs and etc. Think of it as she's intellectually stimulated and working on her dialogue.
