... I try to take the trash out. She sees me walking through the room to the door carrying a trash bag and she starts screeching and flies over, lands directly on the bag and starts biting at my fingers. She also did this yesterday when I was sitting in the same room as her and was eating some microwaved mashed potatoes out of the container; screeching, then flew over to land practically on the bowl and bit my finger hard enough to draw blood. What gives?

Well trash bags haven’t been an issue in my house - but - my sun conure has decided that my little, tiny Apple TV remote is a tool of the devil that must be eradicated. The moment she spots it (usually when I pick it up), she will fly from wherever she is to attack the offending remote and the hand that holds it. No other remote control in the house is offensive, only the Apple TV deserves the “hissing and biting ball of feathered fury” treatment.

The remote only recently offended her - it has been around for a long time and the scars on my hands are all from the last couple of months.

The broom and dustpan used to be the objects of her fury....but that phase has passed and we have moved on to our current obsession with a single remote control lol.

Rio (Yellow sided conure) sadly no longer with us
different objects will forever be the enemy to them.

I'm thinking maybe it's the sound of the bag? Maybe that sets them off but who knows
