So the stick vac I've been using for years broke the other day. I was able to fix it, but I'm in need of a new one anyways. So when I went to Walmart today with a friend, I bought a new one.

I brought it into the apartment and set it down. I then went to let Skittles out (which is my normal routine, before I even hang up my coat. He's such a spoiled brat!) lol.

Well, then he flew over onto one of his play stands (the one nearest the new vacuum) and proceeded to have a fit. He flew onto me several times and grabbed my shirt and shook it rapidly. Then flew back to his play stand. All the while, making his "warning screeches". So I took the vacuum out of the box and showed it to him and spoke to him in a VERY sweet and calming voice and showed him that it was okay. Then he suddenly stopped and went about his business. I was telling my friend about it earlier. She lives on the same floor as me. I asked her if she could hear him screaming and she said yes and I asked her if she noticed he suddenly stopped and she did. I told her what happened and she thought it was hilarious.

It just warmed my heart. How just a few moments of reassurance suddenly stopped all his worries. Daddy has superpowers! lol
