Hi again lol so I’ve been working with my 3 year old sun conure Mari for a few days now. At first she hid in my shirt from the harness. Now, I hold it up and put some seeds in front of her and the only way she can eat the seeds is if she puts her head thru the hole of the harness. And she’s on an all pellet diet so she will do anything to get the seeds. So so far that’s what’s working for me. I plan on making the hole smaller and smaller (because right now she puts her head in the wing hole). I guess my question is, am I on the right track. I mentioned before that I train her three times a day for 20 minutes. I was told that that was too much and now I train her twice a day for 5 minutes each, so 10 minutes total. I know everything is supposed to go by her pace and to NEVER force anything, but I just wanna know if I’m on the right track. I’ll also try and attach a picture to show you what I meant about her putting her in lol

Yup. Right track.Make the loop smaller ervey 2 or 3 day until its the same size as the head loop. then make her use that. At that point drape the restoof the harness over her to get her used to the feel of it. A week or 2 of that ,is not back sliding is dome, your ready to wrassle herinto the harness

Thanks for the reply! I just made the loop smaller today and she’s doing great. I’m dreading the part when she has to put her head thru the tiny hole lol I hope it goes easier than I think lol
